Swerving is when you’re dodging calls and messages from someone, because you haven’t decided if you actually want to see them again or not. It can also be when you just don’t have any interest in them at all, so you feel that this way, the person will get the message. Either way, it’s avoiding being direct and just letting them know where your head is at. You may have heard the term ‘swerve’ from the Kanye West collab ‘Mercy’ as well.
Example Use: “They’ve been dodging your calls and messages?! I think they might be swerving you to be honest.”
