Curve

To curve someone means to ignore, avoid or sidestep someone’s obvious expression of interest through flirting or any means of advance. There are a lot of times when the act of curving has been done so efficiently. In fact, you don’t even realise you’ve been rejected at all. It can happen over text or WhatsApp. For example, they might give you sporadic responses. They may always be ready with an excuse for late replies or even just leave you hanging altogether.

Example Use: “I messaged her saying ‘Hey babe, I miss you’ and she just responded ‘Night mate’. That’s a curve for sure.”
